My Platform.

Reducing your cost of living

Under Labor we have the highest power prices in the nation and we're also paying more than ever for things like stamp duty and water bills.

AMANDA'S ACTION
As part of the Liberal Team, I am committed to:
  • Making housing more affordable by providing stamp duty relief to more first home buyers
  • Reversing Labor’s water bill hikes
  • Providing payroll tax relief for small businesses and tradies
  • Reintroducing the home battery subsidy to help bring down power bills

Better Local Healthcare

Being able to get into hospital instead of being stuck on a ramp, having the right access to mental health care support, and being able to afford a trip to the doctor are not ‘nice to have’ extras – they’re essential.

AMANDA'S ACTION
As part of the Liberal Team, I am committed to:
  • Scrapping Labor’s GP tax grab to keep doctor’s visits affordable
  • Significantly increasing our investment in mental health
  • Holding the Labor Government to account to deliver on their promise to fix ambulance ramping

Supporting our Community and Upgrading our Open Spaces

Over the last few weeks, I have listened to hundreds of locals about what our community wants and needs.

AMANDA'S ACTION
As part of the Liberal Team, I am committed to:
  • A Sea Pool at Hallett Cove
  • Drinking fountains at Cove FC Majors Road Soccer Precinct (currently the kids and players have none)
  • A new work vehicle and watering system for the volunteers at Glenthorne National Park so they don’t have to carry water by hand to new seedlings
  • Proclaiming the Field River Valley as a national park and funding walking trails, revegetation, weed removal and heritage protection.
  • Improvements to ventilation, insulation and storage for the Trott Park Men’s Shed and Mosiac Club
  • Funding towards stage one of the Kingston Park Reserve master plan, including upgrading the toilets and design of a new play space

The Liberals will build the Hallett Cove Sea Pool!

  • Lifting the amenity of Hallett Cove Beach
  • Free for the community to access
  • Another great recreational opportunity in our local area

A few years ago, the idea of a sea pool at Hallett Cove bubbled up within our community, with thousands of local residents starting a campaign to make this idea a reality.

I have been working on this project for years through my role on the Coast Protection Board and I will ensure the final design addresses traffic and parking impacts, any visual impact on the local environment, and protection from erosion.

Fighting for and delivering projects like this is the strong, local advocacy our community needs and deserves. This is exactly what I’ll be focused on if I am privileged enough to be elected to serve my community.

Representing our local area.

Advocating for our community

Over the 10 years I’ve spent representing our area on local government, people and small businesses are telling me they’re concerned about community safety, overdevelopment, local roads and footpaths, electricity prices, and housing affordability. I will always fight for our community to be safe, to have the best schools, parks, roads and local amenities, to protect our beaches, and to ensure our sports and community clubs are the best they can be.

Focusing on the important issues

I want my kids to be able to own a home one day. I want our young people to have jobs and opportunities in South Australia. I want our area to be full of thriving local businesses. And I don’t want my elderly parents, or someone else I care about, to get stuck outside hospital on a ramp. If elected, I will work hard every day to ensure your voices are heard and that the government is focused on the issues that matter to you.

Holding Labor
to account

Under this government, ambulance ramping has reached record levels, power bills are skyrocketing, and Labor’s spending has added fuel to the inflation fire. I will hold this government to account to bring down the cost of living and to deliver on their promise to fix ambulance ramping. I have a strong record on standing up for my community’s interests without fear or favour and I will use this in the parliament to ensure the government is focused on the issues people in our area care about.
